Default Protected documents compatibility question

I have a WORD 2003 document that has headers and entry fields and wish to
distribute to a large group of members in a service club. The document is
protected, the header fields cannot be accessed, but their corresponding data
fields of course can be.

The problem we're experiencing is that some users can enter data into the
data fields and some can't. Is there a compatibility issue where some can
use the form and some can't?

Thanks for your help

There shouldn't be. Unless some are trying to work with it in the Word Viewer
rather than the full Word application. Or if the protection is being removed
from the document.

Can you describe more exactly how "some users can't"? What happens? Which
version of Word do these people have? How are they opening the document?

Thanks for your help Cindy. I'll get to these users and get an answer to
your question. That will take I'm sure a few days, but look for my response
sometime next week.

Default Protected documents compatibility question

So far have heard back from 3 users, one with good results uses WORD 2003,
the other two with bad results are using earlier versions (2002 & 2000).
