Default How do I disable delete confirmation?

When I try to delete multiple letters/words in a document by highlighting the
text and hitting the "delete" key, I have to confirm my intent. In the
bottom left corner of the document, a message appears: Delete block? No
(Yes). If I don't respond to this message, I cannot continue working in the
document.

I want to disable this confirmation question.

On the General tab of Tools | Options, clear the options referring to
WordPerfect.
