I can't break Header and Footer links
I'm using Word 2003 and trying to have no h/f on a few pages in the middle of
the document, and then reinstate them afterwards. When I try to break the links between Headers and Footers of one page and another page, the Link to Previous icon is greyed out. Where am I supposed to be placing the cursor for it to be active (I've tried in the h/f and I've tried in the page body but neither works) and what am I doing wrong? |

I can't break Header and Footer links
The document must contain at least two sections (that is: at least one
section break) for this to work, because headers (footers) can only be linked to a previous section. For more, see http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/HeaderFooter.htm. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Alanna" wrote in message news I'm using Word 2003 and trying to have no h/f on a few pages in the middle of the document, and then reinstate them afterwards. Clarification: At least two sections are required for the Link to
Previous option to be enabled. In this case, however, you'll need three sections (unlink the second and third headers/footers). -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Stefan Blom" wrote in message ...
