Margins cut off page
I am having trouble printing landscape oriented documents with Windows XP and
a Brother HL1440 printer. I just downloaded the driver from the Brother Web site but it still gives me this problem. Is this a WORD problem or a printer problem. I cannot reset the right margin. When I see the document in print preview, it looks fine. The printer wants to make the right margin about 2.75 inches and I can't seem to reset it. Let me know ifyou have any ideas. Thanks, MCC |

It's me again. I am using WORD 2003 and the HL1440 printer driver is the WHQL
certified Regular printer driver v1.42 , dated 09may2002, downloaded fromthe Brother web site. Also, this problem is new. Until yesterday, I was printing landscape fine. I am also working with SAS pc and wonder if it could be interfering. The problem seemed to start when I began to have trouble printing an RTF document that I created with SAS's ODS (output delivery system). But I also seem to recall that I once had a similar problem before but solved it. Although I may be dreaming. Thanks, MCC See whether it is trying to make the margin 2.67 inches, or whether it is really 2.75 inches. 2.67 inches is the value that usually shows up for a bug that mostly gets reported for HP printers. Microsoft would like to blame HP for it, but if it is happening on Brother printers too, it might be Word or GDI+ or some other piece of common Microsoft code. I think this is the second time I have seen this one on Brother printers. Bob S |

I'm having the same problem. It happened after I tried to print a custom size
document (in Publisher) on a Samsung Laser printer and again on a Mita. Now, even when I try to use a previously saved document, and try to use it as a default, it won't hold. Now all my new docs in landscape won't let me type beyond a 6" inch line. Preview looks fine. Can't figure out what's going on here.
