Default Blue squiggley lines under all my text in documents

These lines are exactly like the red squiggles that denote spelling errors
and the green squiggles that denote possible formatting issues. They pop up
in my doucments unbidded and remain. Everything is underlined in blue and it
is very difficult to view ones work in this fashion. These lines are not
grids. Thanks for any help...no one in the surrounding offices has
experienced this before.

Green is for grammar, blue is for formatting. Probably disabling "Keep track
of formatting" (Tools | Options | Edit) will hide them; or you could use
styles instead of direct formatting.

If you're using Word 2003, ToolsOptionsEdit and uncheck the 'Mark
formatting inconsistencies'
checkbox. (I am at a Word2000 machine at present, but I think that is
where the option is located).

If would spend a little time learning to create and apply styles you
wouldn't have so much text marked for deviating from a defined style.

Greg is right on this one; that check box is available only if "Keep track
of formatting" is checked, however.
