Default Check-boxes: Is there a way to lock how many?

I was wondering if there was a way to set the check boxes in a form so that
you can not have two checked at the same time? For instance...I am giving my
engineers 3 choices for the type of agreement they are trying to create...I
don't want them to be able to check all 3 choices...they should only be
checking one choice. Is there a way to have the check boxes work so that if
they click on one their previous check disappears?

You can try the macro solution at
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/TblsFl...FmFldChbxs.htm.
However, sending macro-driven documents to others runs into security
problems. I think it would make more sense to use a dropdown form
field instead.
