Word 2000 - Pitney Bowes Barcode needed on Page 1 of all new docum
I am working a project that requires a barcode on the first page of every new
letter document that will be needed for batch printing. The letters need to be assembled on a Pitney Bowes folder/inserter machine because there will be thousands of letters daily. The barcode is nothing more than 6 underscore characters in bold print. This barcode must sit in an exact place on the first page of a variable page letter for every letter. Currently while coding the template for this, any variable information above this barcode that appears (Addresses, with add'l PO Box or Suite info, or variable product information) will cause the barcode to skew, and not be in exact placement. We will be upgrading to Word 2003 in 04/2009, but for now, I need to know my options for coding a solution to this problem in Word 2000, which is to code for a single line (6 underscores) in an exact place on the bottom right of the document without it moving. Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated. |

Have you considered placing a TEXT BOX in the exact location -- and putting
the barcode inside the text box. Text wrapping should eliminate the box moving. If you don't want to see the outline of the text box -- just set the line color on the box to no color. -- Kate in MI http://community.webshots.com/user/K_Groves * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * "fjminor" wrote in message ...
