highlight colors
How can I lighten the highlight colors in Word? I used to be able to do this
on older versions and different word processing programs but I do not see how I can do it on the MS word 2007 version. Thanks for your heap |

highlight colors
I'm not sure what you're remembering, but Word 2003 and Word 2007 both have
the identical selection of 15 highlight colors. It's been a while, so I don't know if that was true prior to Word 2003. This assumes you're talking about the Highlight tool. You can, of course, apply background color formatting to any text selection, and then choose just about any color/shade you like. Select the text, then drop down the Shading tool (the arrow to the right of the shading paint bucket) in the Paragraph section in the Home ribbon tab. Choose any color displayed, or click More colors for the full range of choices. If you're talking about something else... then if you could describe what you did in an earlier version of Word, perhaps one of us can help point you to the location of the corresponding command/range of choices in Word 2007 (assuming they exist). -- Herb Tyson MS MVP Author of the Word 2007 Bible Blog: http://word2007bible.herbtyson.com Web: http://www.herbtyson.com "ljsyring" wrote in message ...
