Default Printing centers itself

I'm working in Word 2007 on a Vista machine. I changed my paper size to 5.5
x 8.5, margins to .25 all the way around, portrait orientation for this
document. Every time I print it, it gets centered on what would be an 8.5 x
11 so I see half the image. I have checked and re-checked my settings to no
avail. Why won't it print correctly?
