Style with underline
I have a Heading 1 style in a document which has underlined text. It also
has outline numbering. I can set the number to be underlined but don't know how to get the gap between the number and the heading underlined, e.g.: 1. Underlined text (all to be underlined) Can you help please? |

I think the only way to accomplish what you want is to specify
"Nothing" for "Follow number with" in the Customize Outline Numbered List dialog box. (You may have to click the More button to see the "Follow..." option.) Then you would add a tab or a space manually as you type in the heading text; when you do this, you'll get everything underlined. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "a9" wrote in message ... If this is for a heading style, you might also consider using a border below
the paragraph. It'll run across the whole width of the page, but for headings, that might not be a bad thing. You could also combine the border below with putting the paragraph style in a frame with automatic width. Then you'd have more or less the same effect as a regular underline. But framed styles can be a bit hard to set up and maintain, if you're not used to frames.
