Default Page Break woes

In Word, 2007, I insert a page break. Sometimes it breaks to a new page,
sometimes it does not. If I go to print preview, for example, it might show
the items that come after the page break on the same page as the previous
items. Sometimes it does it correctly. One it is correct, however, I make
one change to anything, and it goes back up to the previous page. Or, if I
swith formatting marks on or off, it gets messed up. Help!!!!!!!!!!

Default Page Break woes

I can't address that issue in terms of page breaks, which I almost never
use. If I need a new section on a new page I will use the appropriate
section break, but to get something to the top of the next page I have had
success formatting the paragraph with Page Break Before.
