Problem with Caption Numbering
I'm working on a large document with multiple figures and tables. I have been
inserting captions (right click-- insert caption) throughout, as well as corresponding cross-references, without any problems. However, on one particular table I can't insert a caption. It seems to work fine, but when I click OK it shows up just as "Table . Blah blah." (no table number is inserted, just a space). If I then try to write a cross-reference to that table, it doesn't show up in the list of available tables. I tried closing and re-opening the document but it didn't help. What might be going wrong here? Thanks! Jen |

Problem with Caption Numbering
Caption numbers are actually SEQ fields. Are you able to add the SEQ field
via Insert | Field (Word 2003) or Insert tab | Quick Parts | Field (Word 2007)? -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "JenC" wrote: I'm working on a large document with multiple figures and tables.
