Default Number of pages reset

I have a document that has different section that are divided by section
breaks. The first section is the body of the document and the rest are
attachments. I need to make the header in the body read page # of # and ony
be the number of pages for tht section, and each attachment do the same. I
know it is possible and I have figured out how to reset the page number, but
not the number of pages.

On a side question, I have the last section has nothing in it with a
seperate header. When I go to delete it, it makes the formating of the next
to last section revert to what I was trying to delete.

In "Page X of Y", change the Y field to SectionPages instead of NumPages.

Default Number of pages reset

Right-click the number-of-pages and choose Toggle Field Codes. You'll
see {NUMPAGES}. Change it to {SECTIONPAGES} and then press F9 to
update it.

To delete the last section without changing the formatting, see "If
you really want to delete the temporary section break ..." in
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting...thSections.htm.
