Default Changing footnote format

Hi
I'd like to format the footnote, say [1] superscript, instead 1 superscript.
because most notes explain some numbers, and this looks like exponent.
Any suggestion
Greg

You can edit the footnote style. Format | Styles and Formatting | Modify

There is no way to do this.

About the best is to do a global change when you've finished - of ^f to [^&]

Default Changing footnote format

If the footnotes are to numbers in tables, the convention is to use letters
or symbols instead of numbers as footnote references.
