Created my own format on first page, want text to continue same. .
I pasted text without formatting into a document. I have edited the first
page of the text, one entry at a time, using my own formatting. I want Word XP to edit the rest of the text (11 pages) into the same format when I highlight the text, and click the style name I called this format (in the "Styles and Formatting" box). I followed the directions given, but cannot get Word to adjust the format. Is the problem Word XP, or me? Thanks. |

What does "adjusting the format" consist of? When you apply a style, you
apply font and paragraph formatting, but there's only so much this can do. For example, if the pasted text has a line break at the end of every line, these will have to be removed (see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/CleanWebText.htm). -- Suzanne S.
