Default Eliminate pause when typing identical characters in a row in any w

When typing any word that includes 2 identical characters in succession, the
second one wil not type unles I pause. Also. I have to pause between
characters when deleting or backspacing more than one character. How can I
fix this?

Click on Start | Control Panel | Accessibility Options | Keyboard | uncheck
the "Use FilterKeys" box | OK.
