Headers for Linked Excel Tables in Word
Hi all,
I have a question about Excel tables pasted into Word as a link: I would like to have the header row repeat on multiple pages, but I am not having much luck. I searched this group and found the suggestions for Tables-Header Row Repeat, \*MERGEFORMAT and 'paste in as RTF', but each time the link is updated the repeating rows disappear. Any thoughts? Thanks so much! Terry |

If that isn't working, then I'm afraid you're going to be out of luck. The MergeFormat switch has been around a long time, and Microsoft hasn't always thought to update it as functionality has been added to Word's tables. You'll have to re-apply this after the table has been updated, or use a macro to at least reduce the number of steps.
