Default How do I transpose a table from portrait to landscape?

I copied a table from Excel into word, the table in excel is in portrait
view, so when I copy it into word it is 5 pages long, how do I change the
table to landscape view so it can match my page orientation?

Thank you

Hi,

You could insert a Section break before & after the table and re-format the section the table's in to landscape orientation. That's
a whole lot easier than transposing the table.

Actually, it's quite easy to transpose a table in Excel.

Well, the OP does say he has the table in Excel to begin with.

Hi Suzanne,

Fair enough, though transposing a table in Excel doesn't achieve the same result as you get by rotating it in Word.

Well, not exactly, I suppose, but if you transpose the entire thing and
paste it into Word as a table and then rotate the text...

And just to follow up, the only reason I make a point of this is that there
are often numerous advantages to avoiding a landscape section when possible;
these include not only pagination and header/footer issues (which can be
worked around) but also problems with endnotes by section, which can't.
