Installing embedded fonts
If I receive a Word document with an embedded .ttf font that is designated
as Installable Embedding Allowed, how can I install that font? Is that font automatically installed if I open the document? Or must I do something to get it installed? Thanks, Gordo |

Installing embedded fonts
It used to be that installable fonts were in fact installed on your system
when you opened a document containing them. This was deemed intrusive (in principle, no one wants software of any kind to be installed on his system without explicit permission), so the policy was changed; the font will be editable in the given document, and I would guess that you might be able to copy/paste it into another document, but I don't know how you would go about actually installing it in the Windows Fonts folder. -- Suzanne S.
