When I try to open a .doc email attachment from Hotmail, it comes up as
"Invalid Menu Handle". I want to open these documents using Microsoft Word.

Not sure which application you are using to read Hotmail. Anyway, never open
Word attachments directly from email. Save the attachment to your hard drive
and open it from there.
