I use Word 2002. I have created a Word main document, which links to an
SQL View as the merge datasource. When I open the document, and BEFORE
I run the merge, some of the fields are displayed as mergefields, others
are displayed as results (e.g., some numerical values, results of IF
statements etc.). The results refer to the first record in the
datasource. I would like to suppress this, i.e. I would like the
mergefields to be displayed, rather than the results, until I actually
run the mail merge process.
