Every single time i go to bold a heading or a sentence it also turns on the
keep with next, which is really starting to frustrate me, i have tried
changing my auto correct options but nothing is helping.

Word is automatically applying a style (probably Heading 1) when you apply
Bold. Heading 1 is Normal + Bold, with Keep with next as the paragraph style.

In the AutoCorrect dialog box, on the AutoFormat as You Type tab, uncheck
Define styles based on your formatting

I suspect that Word is applying a heading style as a result of either
"Automatic headings" or "Define styles based on your formatting." See

Since, based on the number of times you add to and even duplicate my
suggestions, it appears that my replies are inadequate, incorrect or
misleading, I am "retiring" as a contributor to the community.

Don't be like that SVC. Sometimes people answer questions at the very same
time and so it may appear that they're duplicating your answers but they
aren't. And Suzanne is a wizard with Word. If she adds something to your
answer it's always something worthwhile. Hang in there and you'll most
surely learn something along the way.

For some reason I did not see your replies when I posted mine. I am seeing
them now, and I agree they say the same thing as mine. Part of the
explanation may lie in the fact that renol1985 posted the same question
twice. Since you are posting through the Communities portal, it's possible
there was some lack of synchronization with Usenet. Please don't retire;
