Default having "Heading" style on same line as Normal text

Hi all,
I'm wondering if there's a way to have a Heading Style (from ms word's
Styles and Formatting) on the same line as normal text (with no Style
applied).

My reason is that I'm trying to save space in a document, so I want to have
no line break after the Heading, but I need to retain the Heading style so
that my Table of Contents still auto-updates with the heading text included.
