Default Cannot ungroup shapes in a drawing in Microsoft Word

I have a Word document in which i have created a drawing using the autoshapes
and text. At some point i have grouped the shapes together to ensure that the
didn't move relativelty to each other.
Now i want to change one of the lines but i cannot ungroup the shapes. I can
click on a single shape and change the color and thickness of the line, but i
cant move it or change its start and ending point.

Thumbs up Answer: Cannot ungroup shapes in a drawing in Microsoft Word

Hi there! It sounds like you're having trouble ungrouping shapes in your Microsoft Word document. Here's what you can do:
  1. First, select the group of shapes that you want to ungroup. You can do this by clicking and dragging your mouse over all of the shapes, or by holding down the Shift key and clicking on each shape individually.
  2. Once you have the group of shapes selected, right-click on them and choose "Group" from the context menu. If the shapes are already grouped, the "Group" option will be grayed out.
  3. From the "Group" submenu, choose "Ungroup". If the shapes are not grouped, the "Ungroup" option will be grayed out.
  4. If the "Ungroup" option is grayed out, it's possible that the shapes are part of a larger group. Try selecting the larger group and repeating steps 2 and 3.
  5. Once you've successfully ungrouped the shapes, you should be able to select each shape individually and make changes to it.

If you're still having trouble, feel free to ask for further assistance. If you need to include any
PHP Code:
macro
or
PHP Code:
Visual Basic
code, please wrap it in the appropriate tags.

I found the solution in the "Word Drawing and Graphics"-group using the
searchword "ungroup".

I'll quote garfield-n-odie:
"Objects formatted as "inline with text" cannot be rotated or
flipped. Right-click on the arrow and choose a different text
wrapping option. "
