Why won't my program automatically insert the date when I start t
I have to type the full date instead of just the first four letters. Why?

For Word 2003, see this article:
Turn on or off AutoComplete http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/wo...CH060831691033 If you are using Word 2007, do this to enable autocomplete for dates: Press Alt+F11 to display the Visual Basic Editor. Press Ctrl+G to display the Immediate window. Type Application.DisplayAutoCompleteTips = True and press Enter. I have Word 2007. I did exactly that, but it didn't turn it on. Any other
suggestions? Are you saying you do not see the AutoComplete tip at all or are you seeing
it only for the month and not the full date? Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. The tip doesn't come up at all. Any ideas?

Beth, I'm having this same problem. Word 2007 didn't finish "typing"
November or the date itself. I did what you suggested to "Teacher" and now November finishes, but not the date/year. Any suggestions? Why won't my program automatically insert the date when I star
We're having the same issue. If I type "Nove" I get the pop up to complete
the date if I press Enter and it does complete- however it will not put in the day/month. Pressing the spacebar does nothing. I edited the VB script as suggested above and it did not fix the issue.
