Default My backspace button isn't working. I can only use "delete." HELP!

Basically, I can't use "backspace" to delete anything in my word documents. I
have to use delete. It is a bit irritating, and I don't know how I managed to
do it. Anybody know how I can get backspace working again????? Thanks.

On the Edit tab of Tools | Options, check the box for "Typing replaces
selection." Word regards backspacing as "typing."
