Default Word.Addin.8 located in the register folder .wll

Norton Win Doctor tells me i have missing or invalid File extension (".wll."
The file extensions, ".wll", refers to an invalid identifier, "Word.Addin.8"

Reason I am bringing this up is I am trying to install Microsoft Office 2003
and I get the following message: Error 1402, Setup cannot OPEN the registry
key UNKNOWN\.wll. Verify that you have sufficient permissions to access the
registry or contact your information technology department for assistance..

I have been working with the Office part of Newsgroups and so far unable to
solve the problem. They seem to think that it is a permissions problem BUT it
is not because I have created a new user as administer with full powers and
it still will not install even signing in under that new user.

I think it has something to do with the file extension .wll as referred to
in the Norton's Win Doctor find as it says I have missing or invalid file
extension .wll which refers to an invalid identifier word.addin.8.

The installation error 1402 shows up after the installation loads all files
and then goes to registering extensions. It is during the registration of
extensions that I get the Error 1402.

What does the register key .wll and file Word.Addin.8 do? Could I delete
the .wll key and Word.Addin.8 file and maybe the Office 2003 program will
install? Will it hurt anything if i delete these keys/files.

Hope I have made this clear enough that someone can understand it and help me.
Thanks
