I should say...the top ruler shows the right margin at 7.5"...the text
boundary is at 6".

I'm using print view. But after checking the text boundaries, they are not
set to the right margin. The top ruler shows the right boundary at 7.5",
which is where I want it, but the text boundary line puts the boundary at 6".
Is there a way to change this and to retain the changed area as the default
setting?
thank you for your help! Huge progress already!!

Do you have the margins displayed (Tools | Options | View: Text boundaries)?
This might make it easier to see what's actually going on. What view are you
using?

Thank you both for your suggestions. Neither of them worked. If you can
think of anything else PLEASE let me know. I can't understand how this
happened and I've checked every setting I can think of to fix it!

When I type text into a Word document, the text wraps before it
reaches
the
right margin. I've tried resetting my "default" settings to old
documents
where I didn't have this problem, but whenever I open a new document,
the
same problem appears.
