Default How do I highlight text when recording a macro?

The recorder has a hard time with mouse selection. Instead, use the Shift
key together with the arrow keys to highlight text.

Here's some reading material that may help:

I'm trying to learn how to record macros. One thing I'm supposed to
do is to highlight some text and change the font. But I can't
highlight the text unless I pause the recording, and then when I open
my macro after I've finished, the font changes aren't there. Can
someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks. I'm using Microsoft
Office 2003.
