Default Track Changes

You're probably correct. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why I
couldn't make the change. Thanks for the idea of doing find and
replace--this is what I'll need to do.

If the markup in the document had been created by Track Changes, then what
you see in the document would reflect the settings in Track Changes Options
on your machine. Therefore, the markup has *not* been created using Track
Changes in Word but by some other add-in (such as DeltaView). This is going
to make accepting or rejecting the changes difficult, too. You can probably
use Find and Replace to search for the font color and add or substitute
underline formatting.

Thanks, Suzanne. I went into Track Changes and it shows that insertions

are
in UNDERLINE, Color: By author. It also shows that deletions are in
strikethrough, Color: By author.

But when I look at the document, or print it the deletions ARE
struckthrough, but the insertions are grey (almost the same color as the
regular typing) and I can't tell which words were inserted because the

color
is nearly the same as the regular font (they inserted words are not
underlined.) Is there a way to change the document that I received so

that
insertions are underlined?

The settings for markup are on the Track Changes tab of Tools | Options

and
are entirely up to you (what they have set on their machine doesn't

affect
yours). You can use a different color or substitute (or add) an

underline
for the color, etc.

I received a document from another person that has their tracked

changes
in
red. Their changes are in red strikethrough for words they've

deleted;
and
in RED font for words they've added.

When I PRINT the document, my printer doesn't print in RED, and

although
the
strikethroughs print okay, the RED text doesn't show up as RED, in

fact
the
RED text is not enough change from the regular black text (during
printing)
so it doesn't show the words that have been added.

How can I change the way the printed document prints so that I can

tell
what
they have added (can I change the RED text that they've added to be
UNDERLINED text?)

Thanks
