Is there a way to make label print DEFAULT to one (1) label instead of
a full sheet of labels?
I constantly waste a sheet of label because I forget to change the
print option to one label.
Since I never have to print a full page of the same address label,
I would like my template to default to one label.
Can you help?
Use the label dialog one more time -- select the correct label stock,
but leave the address box empty. Select "Full sheet" and click the New
Document button. This creates a document with a table matched to the
label size -- if you don't see the cells, click Table Show
Gridlines.
Save that document as a template (change the Save As Type dropdown to
"Word Template (*.dot)" and give it a name, preferably including the
label stock number).
Whenever you want to print one or a few labels in specific places on
the sheet, use File New and select this template, then type the
address into the proper cell of the table and print it.
