You could also copy the Footnote Continuation Separator and paste it in as
the Footnote Separator if you wanted a continuous line.

You need to change the settings for the footnote and footnote continuation
separators:
Word 2007: View tab | Draft. References tab | Show Notes.
Word 97-2003: View | Normal. View | Footnotes.
Word displays the footnote pane. In the Footnotes box, choose "Footnote
separator." To make this line longer, you can copy it and paste in a
second
line. Press Ctrl+R to make it right-aligned. Note that you can delete the
separator and replace it with a paragraph border if you want to.
To delete the footnote continuation separator, just choose "Footnote
Continuation Separator" in the Footnotes box, select it, and press Delete.

When I insert a foot note, the line comes above it goes to the lift and
its
long is very short, how can I extend the line long and how to change the
insertion from right to left?
another problem in one case happened that when I insert a footnote
another
long line comes in the next page and I cant delete it. I tried to delete
it
with borders and shadings but it can't be.
