Are you sure that the macros were actually saved in the document and not in
a template (by default the Word 2003 normal.dot template)? If they are in
the template you could use the Organizer (ALT+F8 Organizer) to move the
macro project containing the macros from the template that contains them to
the normal template in Word 2007.

You shouldn't be encountering a message to enable them if the
document/template is in a trusted location. On the Developer tab,
click Macros. Do you see the macros you are looking for listed?
If you don't see the Developer tab, click the Office Button, click
Word Options, and in the Popular section, select "Show Developer tab
