Select the text (CTRL+A) then tools language set language set a
language for which the spelling dictionary is installed eg US English or UK
English and uncheck both check boxes.
Check tools options save prompt to save normal template.
Format styles & formatting Normal style Right click and select 'modify'
Format modify language. Ensure the same language settings are applied.
OK Check the box 'Add to template'.
When you exit Word you will get a prompt about saving normal.dot. Agree to
save it.
Word will have created the custom.dic file. This stores your personal
spelling choices when you add something to the dictionary. It is an editable
text file.
