Default My Places bar disappeared in Word 2003

Does it come back if you open Word in its safe mode (Hold the CTRL key
whilst starting)? If it does, see
http://www.gmayor.com/what_to_do_when_word_crashes.htm then
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/...peningWord.htm especially in
relation to normal.dot, add-in templates and the Word data key in the
registry. If not I am out of ideas.

I did it but it doesn't work. I deleted the key, opened again Word.
Yes, it build a new key, but the places bar doesn't show.

Any other hint?

Close Word and Outlook
Delete the registry key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\C ommon\Open
Find\Places Start Word and it will build a new default key.

Hi,
I had to reinstall my computer and in Word 2003, when I click File
Open, I don't have on the left side the bar with the five icons (My
Favorites, Desktop, ...).

I don't want to add a place to the bar, I found plenty of questions
about that. I want the entire bar to appear.

Thanks
Olivier
