I am using Word 2007 SP1 with Vista. *If I go into Word Options -
Proofing and check "Check spelling as you type" it will work on the
document and I am currently in and any subsequent documents I create
during the time Word is open. *But as soon as I close and reopen word,
the option is unchecked again. *I can change any other option and it
will stick but "Check spelling as you type" and "Use contextual
spelling" will not stick.

Does anyone know if this option is a registry change or a change to
some file which I might not have rights? *I am really drawing a blank.

Thanks,

Let me try again...I turn the "Check spelling as you type" option on
and exit Word. Upon re-entry, the option is disabled again. I want
the option to always ben enabled. I can reproduce this issue on every
Vista - Word 2007 machine in my firm (450 users). The setting will
not stay. Is this setting contained in a .dot file or is it a
registry entry?
