Hi Stephanie,
The path references will need to be changed. There are three ways you can go about this:
1. Press Alt-F9 to expose the field codes, then use Find/Replace;
2. Use my Field Link Updater, at:
http://www.wopr.com/cgi-bin/w3t/show...Number=261488; or
3. If the files will be kept in the same folder, or a set with the same relative path names, you can use the technique I've outlined
at:

Thankes, macropod. Now...
What if I move the documents? At the moment, I'm working of my I: drive
(memory stick). Eventually, they will move to a network drive. The TOC
still needs to work. What say you about that?

Hi Stephanie,
Your RD field needs to specify with full path & filename of the document it refers to. For example:
{RD "C:\\My Documents\\My Memoirs\\01_Vol_I_Cover.doc"}
or
{RD "C:\\My Documents\\My Memoirs\\01 Vol I Cover.doc"}
as appropriate.
Note the double backslashes for the path separators. You could use single forward slashes instead.

In my TOC document i have:
{TOC \o "Heading 1,3,Title Page Title,1,Heading main,2"}
{RD 01_Vol_I_Cover}
{RD 04_Vol_I_Glossary}
{RD 05_Vol_I_Body}
I've tried removing all the _'s.
