Default Remove Box lines around Text Box

Text boxes don't have borders; they have Lines, which are controlled from
the Format Text Box dialog, not Format | Borders and Shading.

I'm using MS Office Word 2003. Wanting to make text vertical I used a
test
box but I can't get rid of the box drawn around the text. I want the
page to
be clean text without boxes. How do I remove the boxes when printing the
text?

Use the "Border" icon. Select the text box, then click the border group
and
choose 'no border'
