Tke keyboard *layout* refers to the actual layout of the keyboard and not to
the country per se. I suspect you will have a US pattern keyboard It is the
input language that is relevant to the problem and not the keyboard itself.

Thanks for your help Gordon.
I was able to change the "Regional Settings" to English (Australia)
in the Control Panel, however in the drop down list for "Keyboard
layout IME" Australia does not appear - only US and UK
Is there a way I can add it to the list?
Do they speak English in Oz? g
You have to look in a couple of places to make this work. Check your
Regional Settings in Windows and also check the keyboard language.

Hi everyone
I am using Word 2007 and would like to know how to remove the
English (US) setting to default to English (Australia). I have
been into "Word Options",
"Popular" tab and changed it and have also changed it in a Word
under "Thesaurus", "Set Language", however it keeps reverting back
to English (US)
which is very frustrating.
Could someone please show me how to permanently default it to
English (Australia)?
