Default Custom Dictionary not loading

If the dictionary appears in the list and is checked. What language is
associated with it in that dialog? Is that the same version of the language
that you are using?
Do you have 'automatically use suggestions from the spelling checker'
checked in the autocorrect dialog?

I have a new computer and I need to load my custom dictionary for Word and
Outlook. I copied my custom dictionary from my old computer to a
thumbdrive
then put it into the C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application
Data\Microsoft\UProof folder, went to Word Options/proofing, clicked
Custom
Dictionaries, located my custom dictionary, checked the box next to it,
made
it my default, clicked on Edit Word List to make sure it had my defined
words, clicked a bunch of OK's. Word still doesn't see my dictionary. When
I
right click on a word that Word doesn't recognize and pull up Autocorrect
and
Autocorrect Options, the list of words is not my custom dictionary. Am I
missing a step somewhere?
