I was afraid you would say that
but. . .I was able to do a work around by
creating another table (1 row, 1 column, retricted size) inside the label.
It worked perfectly. Thanks.

You can't merge part of a field - You would have to derive a new field in
your excel sheet containing the part of the data you require and merge that
