Default fix size of text area in a form


Insert a table. Set the table's AutoFit setting to Fixed Column Width. Then
go into the Table Properties dialog, go to the Row tab of the dialog, and
set the row height to an "Exactly" value.

The way you get to each of these settings depends on whether you have Word
2007 or an earlier version.
