This should be possible using an IncludePicture field. Save each signature
with a filename that reflects the broker's name; they should all be in the
same folder so that the path will be the same for all the signatures,
differing only by the filename. You'll then need to figure out how to
extract this name from the document and insert it in the field. A REF or
DOCPROPERTY field in the IncludePicture field should work if you can figure
out how to bookmark the name in the document or write it to the document
properties. I have done this with a mail merge that pulled photos from a
folder based on merge fields embedded in an IncludePicture field, so I know
it is theoretically possible.

Good day,
Our insurance industry system uses Microsoft Word 2002 (XP) to
automatically
generate letters for our customers (renewals, policy changes, etc). I
would
like the ability to insert the customer's representative signature
(scanned
image) directly within the document as they are being generated. These
letters are automatically gererated by our broker system and contain the
name
of the broker in charge of that particular customer, but then they are
circulated for signature - I'd like to automate this process. There must
be
something imbeded within the master template to "pull in" the correct
scanned
image, as the process is automated and the user running the process
doesn't
have the ability to interact with the documents - they just run the
process,
the letters get generated and then print off for signature and then
mail-out.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks!
- Joe
