[New 2010 user]

I am a university tutor with a new acer aspire 4320Tx laptop with windows 7 and word 2010 and having difficulty with spell checking an imported script from a student ... After spell checking a document with obvious misspelt words I get this message ...

"The spelling and Grammer check is complete.
Text marked with "Do not check spelling or grammer" was skipped"

... it is as if the misspelt words have been wrapped in an inpenatrable cover ... as if ... ignore once ... has been pressed ... the point is how do I remove this cover?

I have searched Help files ad nausiam this morning with no success: can anyone help?
