A template is not something you "insert"; it's something you attach or
apply. It sounds as if what you're describing as a template is a form of
some sort, and that's even more something you can't "insert." I see what
you're trying to do, but in fact your best bet is to create a new document
based on the correct template before you start typing.

So, simply I need to send one whole document for the day with a bunch of
different doctors that each have their own "template" of the way they want
their reports typed and I don't want to have to re-type each set of
headings,
just insert a template or whatever, and fill in the blanks!
Does that make sense?
