Default Problem inserting Microsoft Equation Objects in Word 2003

Any solutions to this problem?

I am getting the same error message:"Microsoft Equation Editor has
encountered a problem and needs to close...." when i tried to open
equation in Word. I have all the updates incl Office SP2
