Hi Cindy,
That's what I thought also. It seems that all of the built in table

styles
are based on "Table Normal" but I can't figure out how to change this
template.

Hi ?B?TEFD?=,

It seems that the standard paragraph formatting in tables uses 6 pt

after. I
am trying to delete this in a table style that I have created. Right

now I
have to highlight the entire table and click format===

paragraph===and
adjust the after to 0 for each table I insert using the template. I

thought
of changing the "table normal" but don't see a way to do that either.

Is
there a way to do this?

Apparently we're discussing Word 2002, 2003 or 2007?

Which formatting a table uses depends firstly on the style applied to

the
paragraph the cursor was in when the table was created. If it's not the

Normal
style, then the paragraph style currently in-force takes precedence.

Does that
help at all?
