Default How do I create a multiplication calculation in a protected form?

In the cell where users should enter the number, place a text form
field (with the "Calculate on exit" option selected); in the cell
where the result should display, insert a formula (=) field to do the
calculation.

I'm designing a form that needs to have “fill-in-the-blanks” lines.
What is the best way to create them?

I have a simple table with one cell multiplied by a static number,

with the
result to be placed in the adjacent cell. The table is in a

protected form.
Can this calculation be done in a protected form? So far, I've had

no luck.
I'm using Word 2003 in Windows XP Professional.
