I too have this problem. I've tried as you suggested, but found that the
certifcate from adobe expired on 1/12/2004 (This doesn't explain why I had
the pdf toolbar in word 2003 up until last week). How do you update this
certifcate?

Also, I've tried reinstalling both office 2003 and acrobat profession
(version 6) and their updates to see if this would solve the problem-No.

Any suggestions to bring back the PDF toolbar in word would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks

1. There should be a copy of the PDFMaker.dot file in your Office startup
folder. The default location for this folder is C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\version\Startup.
2. In Word, click on Tools | Macros | Security. If the security level is
set to High, then click on the "Trusted Sources" tab and check the "Trust all
installed add-ins and templates" box | OK.
