Default How do I make a 2/3 : 1/3 page layout?

Thanks in advance for your help guys.

I would like to make a Word document with the following layout (I don't know
how this will appear in the post.. but here goes)

[Even-Numbered Pages]
xxxxx yyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
xxxxx yyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
xxxxx yyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
xxxxx yyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
xxxxx yyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

[Odd-Numbered Pages]
yyyyyyyyyyyyyyy xxxxx
yyyyyyyyyyyyyyy xxxxx
yyyyyyyyyyyyyyy xxxxx
yyyyyyyyyyyyyyy xxxxx
yyyyyyyyyyyyyyy xxxxx

Where area x is 1/3 of the page space and area y is 2/3 of the page space.
Area y will contain the bulk of my document's text.
Area x will mostly be blank, but will contain a graphic or small piece of
text on some pages.
I want area x and area y to be 'tied' together, but not in the snaking sense
(where content first fills area x and then flows to area y). If I put for
example a graphic in the middle of area x and add more content at the start
of area y, I would like the graphic to move down the page, so that it stays
with the original text.
I also need a slightly wider margin on the left-hand side of the
odd-numbered pages and on the right-hand side of the even numbered pages to
allow for binding.

I don't want to set the entire document up as a giant table as it is going
to be several hundred pages when finished.

Do you experts have any advice you could please share with me on how to
achieve this look in word? Alternatively, if you could do it for me, for a
fee, please contact me directly - thanks.
